The shared research group (SRG) “Financial Market Innovation” was established within the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments in which the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology was awarded the title “Elite University”, the highest ranked distinction for excellence in science and research.


As of January 1, 2011, Prof. Dr. Ryan Riordan became the head of the SRG. The group is located with the Institute of Information Systems and Management (IISM) and is sponsored by Boerse Stuttgart.
